How Sad a Passage

COUNTESS "This young gentlewoman had a father,--O, that 'had'! how sad a passage 'tis!--whose skill was almost as great as his honesty; had it stretched so far, would have made nature immortal, and death should have play for lack of work." -Act I scene i, All's Well that Ends Well.

Your Key to the Universe

(if you can figure it out) Good start to a Sunday, wearing the t-shirt and feeling as fresh as the new month of April that has now arrived. Marking one year at 1280 at that, strange how time can be made to speak in such anniversaries. Now, having spent the first few months of 2011 imagining potential futures, the best hope lies in the hands of a few gentlemen across the pond. It continues to be so very difficult to put off thoughts of what could be as you wait for their word, but so be it. The rapid development of a backup response for a neighbouring application at least leaves an option in the works should the verdict be negative. But the way this has shaped up, from London to Almaty to the happy medium in between, I just have to hope the stars are aligned on this one thing. So the clock ticks on, and flights to Calgary and perhaps Toronto beckon before 5 glorious May nights in Havana. How much more peaceful and majestic those days might be made if only... At least the delay makes you realize that this is the right choice for it all, rather than just any old feeble escape. It is a move toward something of substance, while maintaining the way in which this vagabond's life must be lived. Let me know this week, boys. If it is going to happen, let's have it with the full fearful symmetry at the Ship on 17th all these years later.
