Good night 2011; Hello 2012, you beauty

Well, it has been quite the year - more magical travels, marked by the purchase of a boat and a car (in that order) discovery of cigar in brilliant Havana, and escape from the confines of Halifax in as smooth a transition as you like. The freedom of the new PhD lifestyle is enviable, and here we are again in London resident in Cooper's apartment for a few plays and Arsenal matches. If you had known this is where you would end up as of January 2011, hard to imagine it would not bring a smile.

There are still issues to address, chief among them settling into Galway's charms, but that should be easily done. Some interesting possibilities await in Limerick, and from potential visitors of a similar mind. The resolutions have been posted and include only visits to destinations not yet visited and more time and skill devoted to the beloved boat. Indy 500, Rio, Venice, India, and this time next year in Zanzibar. "You man of steel you," quoth the Coop. Heh. Not exactly a resolution to change the ways, but to continue maximizing the experience on the planet as the years tick upward.

Go on, McMahon. Keep it going, and enjoy. No reason 2012 cannot serve as the best one yet.
