How Sad a Passage

COUNTESS "This young gentlewoman had a father,--O, that 'had'! how sad a passage 'tis!--whose skill was almost as great as his honesty; had it stretched so far, would have made nature immortal, and death should have play for lack of work." -Act I scene i, All's Well that Ends Well.

The Driver’s Seat

May Day.  Drafted a winning letter.  Meeting with the rate design, blue skying approaches.  Drafting other questions.  Messi.  Then the storytelling.  I can do that, he thinks.  The Moose interrupted you.  Then to the Highwayman.  Mistaking meatballs for tartare.  But making progress, I can sense it.  The boat will provide, I sense it.  Get her and MJ out before the exit.  Perhaps HC too.

To be learned from tonight?  Nothing too indulgent, everything relevant, side hustles with purpose. The hot water then bleeding tongue.  The coincidence of 911.  The shift in perspective from being threatened to becoming the driver.  Some good things.  The narrative of a story.  The powerful nature of connected absurdity, sudden reversals.

The MFA pitch is in, and I like it.  It’s come together nicely over the past year.  Much more to follow...
