How Sad a Passage

COUNTESS "This young gentlewoman had a father,--O, that 'had'! how sad a passage 'tis!--whose skill was almost as great as his honesty; had it stretched so far, would have made nature immortal, and death should have play for lack of work." -Act I scene i, All's Well that Ends Well.

Loss of Chance

Arrr...  another day, another destiny.  But in the same spot, one day closer to Brazil.  Great email from Gartner and the visions of the Totti jersey.  Don't look that much different, definitely a bit older and with more hilarious experiences under the belt.

Just wanted to mark the occasion, as I came across the research on the appropriate damages for the "loss of chance".  Long live randomness and the rest of it.  Off we go.

Findings of Fact

10:36PM, Tuesday, June 3.  Working away, once again, on yet another submission regarding that intercon delay of six years ago.  It is late, but in truth you slept in (remember that miserable mess of an apartment in these days?)  Such a supper of leftovers from Nick's though.  What a guy he is.  The mini-cooper 6 month trip to get to know his new country.  Just outstanding.

Now 3:38AM.  My how the time flies in the "middle night", when all is quiet.  Up to 5,700 words or so, and nearing the finish line.  Whether this will be enough to convince the one man that matters, who knows, but it is as good an effort as can be mustered.  GM's addition on the findings of fact and credibility and the like incorporated nicely.  Amazing he is still along for this ride given the treatments and everything.

It is all to play for now.  The 10th anniversary of June 5 upcoming (can you believe that? really? I almost can...) and the cottage and Keji planned to welcome the start of the 35th turning.  Shame about the boat and the lost rudder pintles, but that's what July and August are for, surely.  Most wonderful, of course, is the marvelous present to yourself of three weeks in Brazil during the World Cup.  This time next week, it will be one more sleep, and no doubt you'll be scampering around trying to make sure everything is in proper order.  Writing hours and the like too.  Heh.

Anyway, time for a coke and a nap and a return to crank out the remainder.  Then wander over to NSPI and sort out the SBTS theatre issues that are all the more riotous following the fire.

The clock is ticking.
